Overview

The ADRA Africa Regional Office is based in Nairobi, Kenya. It is established to provide administrative, financial, and programmatic support for implementing country offices throughout the African continent. The support ranges from strategic planning, financial system establishment and monitoring, organizational development, program design and development, program evaluation and human resource development. 

The ADRA Africa Regional Office promotes professional growth of the individual and the organization by assisting country offices in adapting state-of-the-art industry practices. ADRA Africa liaises with donors and ADRA country offices worldwide to promote development in western, southern and eastern Africa; and to help attract funding for the implementing country offices.

OUR HISTORY

In response to the need for effective coordination and the expanding program in the region, in 2001, the ADRA Africa Regional Office was established as a tri-Division entity, covering the territories of East-Central Africa Division (ECD), Southern Africa-Indian Ocean Division (SID) and West-Central Africa Division (WAD). Its initial mandate was to provide coordination and liaison services to the COs in the Region. The office has grown today to a staff strength of 10, giving support in 4 key portfolios:
