Our History

In response to the need for effective coordination and the expanding program in the region, in 2001, the ADRA Africa Regional Office was established as a tri-Division entity, covering the territories of East-Central Africa Division (ECD), Southern Africa-Indian Ocean Division (SID) and West-Central Africa Division (WAD). Its initial mandate was to provide coordination and liaison services to the COs in the Region. The office has grown today to a staff strength of 10, giving support in 4 key portfolios:

3. Development Programs

4. Emergency Management

5. Communication and Marketing
